In November, the North Cheatham Civitan Club hosted a comedy night at the Livery Stables in Pleasant View. This week, monies from the event were donated to Colby's Army Inc.

In addition to the $1,170 donated by the Civitan Club, Colby's Army received $825 in direct donations, totaling $1,995 for the Ashland City-based nonprofit organization that specializes in helping people with various challenges through outreach and interactions with animals and nature. Programs include therapeutic riding, equine assisted ground-based activities, job training, gardening, and even homeless outreach..
