Colorful and larger than life-sized cupcakes, storks, stars, and flamingos are decorating yards all around Pleasant View, thanks to Yard See TN, a new business that is helping neighbors find a reason to smile during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Wendy Corley, a Pleasant View resident who moved to the area from Nashville, Tenn., made an investment into this unique business a few years ago. Corley said the company offers celebration yard sign rentals made of a durable weather-resistant PVC and brightly-colored, sturdy vinyl. Each sign offers unique plaques for themes and personalization for any occasion, she said.
Corley, a stay-at-home mom and dedicated wife who was looking for something positive to bring to the community, said the signs have been a fun way for folks to celebrate birthdays, graduations, births, gender reveals, and other milestones while safely distancing from one another. She explained “drive-by parades for birthdays” have been popular, where “birthday recipients will stand next to their birthday sign while people drive by and exchange presents or mini party favors.”
Corley added that “we are helping honor graduates with a $50 keepsake graduation star. This item is for the graduate to keep and can be used as a photo prop or a yard sign.
Yard See TN plans to offer additional keepsake items such as door decor and yard signs in the future.”
