Community Bank & Trust Donates to History Wall

The new county government offices located at Sycamore Square held an open house and dedication ceremony on Saturday May 11th from 2 to 4pm. Mayor McCarver opened the ceremony to attendees sharing the newly decorated wall with historical photos of the Cheatham County sponsored by Community Bank and Trust.

Mayor McCarver opened the dedication with, “Sycamore Square was a forgotten retail center decades past its glory days. The county was able to purchase the center for $3.1 million and has invested an additional $3.57 million in phase one. Our total investment is $6,677,225. The county collects approximately $450,000 per year in leases and spends about $130,000 for operation costs. The county nets approximately $320,000 in annual revenue. The value is now three times return on the county’s current investment at Sycamore Square.

“The history photo wall, designed by local artist and designer Ti Rogers, was made possible with a generous donation by Community Bank and Trust’s President, Debbie Small,” said McCarver.

“We celebrate Cheatham County and are honored to be a part of its rich history!” said Debbie Small. “Community Bank and Trust is celebrating our 20th anniversary in business in Cheatham County and we are proud to share the wonderful things happening in our county,” continued Small.

Dedicated bank staff members were excited to present Community Bank and Trust's donation with a big check.
