The Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department is gearing up for their annual picnic and parade scheduled for Saturday, October 6. Following Pink Out for Hope’s Booby Bolt 5K and Kids Fun Run earlier that morning, the parade will begin at 11AM and proceed down the standard route through the center of town (41A and 49).
After the parade, the many festivities of the annual picnic will begin. This year, the PVVFD will offer a cruise-in car show, bake walk, silent auction, plenty of food options, over 20 vendors, an art exhibit, live music, kids zone, and softball tournament.
New this year will be a movie after dark. A family-friendly showing of “Inside Out” will begin around 7 PM in front of Pleasant View Elementary School; attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to the viewing.
