Wilma “Jean” (Knox) Jackson, age 86, of Dixon Springs, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tennessee.
She was born in Ashland City, Tennessee on January 8, 1937. Jean was a retired unit nurse for St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard Durwood and Ollie Drucilla (Mosley) Knox; son, Robert Jackson; daughter, Diane Kirschner; brothers, Bo, Jimmy, Buddy, Larry, and Richard Knox; sisters, Nancy Ward and Cheryl Poole; grandson, Andy Jackson Jr.; and son in-law, Bruce E. Day.
Jean is survived by her sons, Larry Jackson (Brenda) and Andy Jackson Sr.; daughter, Dru Day; daughter in-law, Beth Jackson; grandchildren, Michael Smiley, Christopher (Melissa), Daniel, Marybeth, Catherine, Melissa (Jeff), Alan (Heather), Vicky, Brandy, Ashley, JT, and Charles; seventeen great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 12 Noon in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Neptune Smith Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 17, from 2pm to 7pm and on Wednesday, January 18, from 10am until the hour of service. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
