Weather Threat Closes County Schools on January 12

The Cheatham County School District will be closed on Friday, January 12.

Reports from local and state agencies suggest weather conditions could pose a serious concern for student transportation services on Friday.

With wind gusts predicted to exceed 50-plus mph on Friday and out of an abundance of caution for student safety, we have made the decision to close.

Our extended daycares will be open on their normal schedule, and daycare students will need to bring a lunch.

Please refer to your school’s social media for information regarding sporting events.

As a reminder, our schools will be closed on Monday, January 15 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
