Earlier this week, the Sycamore War Eagles faced the Fairview Yellowjackets to close out the season's district play.

Monday, April 17 V. Fairview (District)
In the top half of the first, the Yellowjackets took an early 1-0 lead on a double. The War Eagles responded with a serious scoring threat in the bottom half of the inning, but they left the bases loaded without scoring. Fairview added one run in the third and two more in the fifth before icing their shut-out victory with six more in the sixth inning, taking down Sycamore, 10-0.

Tuesday, April 18 @ Fairview (District)
In their second matchup of the week, Fairview took yet another early lead with a first-inning single. The Yellowjacket's dominant pitching and high-powered offense proved to be too much for the War Eagles to contain, ultimately causing them to fall 7-0.
Junior Christian Sanders and senior Elijah Haskins each tallied one hit to lead the varsity War Eagles.
The War Eagles closed out district play with a 5-3 record.
