Cheatham County residents have the chance to help choose the theme for this year’s Christmas parade in Ashland City, with all three options honoring Tennessee icon Dolly Parton.
Mayor Gerald Greer announced the community vote after hearing from residents interested in changing this year’s parade theme to recognize Parton and her impact through her music, generosity and Imagination Library.
Residents can choose from three themes: “A Dolly Christmas,” “A Holly Dolly Christmas” or “A Dolly Country Christmas.”
Voting is taking place in the comments of the Town of Ashland City’s Facebook post, with one vote allowed per person. Voting will remain open until noon Thursday, Aug. 27, and the theme receiving the most votes will be selected for this year’s Christmas parade.
