This Weekend's Riverbluff Triathlon Celebrates 10 Years in Ashland City

Ashland City will welcome athletes and spectators to Riverbluff Park on Sunday, August 9, 2026, as the Riverbluff Triathlon celebrates its 10-year anniversary.

Known for its scenic course and community atmosphere, the event invites participants to swim near the bluffs that inspired the race’s name, then bike and run through the landscapes of Ashland City.

This year’s anniversary event includes Sprint and Olympic distance options, along with relay opportunities, aquabike, bike-run, and virtual race options. Race weekend begins Saturday with packet pickup and bike check-in at Riverbluff Park, followed by Sunday’s early morning transition opening and race starts.

Beyond the competition, the event is also designed as a celebration. Participants and guests are encouraged to stick around after the race for food, live music, awards, and a post-race atmosphere fitting for the milestone year.

The Riverbluff Triathlon continues to highlight Ashland City’s natural beauty, active community spirit, and ability to host events that bring people together from across Middle Tennessee. As it marks 10 years, the race remains a proud local tradition and a late-summer highlight for Cheatham County.
