A new phase of the Village in Pleasant View is expected to break ground this spring.

The new development, named Charleston Commons, will bring both residential and commercial space to the area. A total of 23 townhomes, 10-single family homes, and six commercial buildings are in the site plan.

The high-end townhomes will be three stories and run about 2,000 square feet. To reduce street parking, each unit will have a two-car garage and a parking pad.

Various floor plans for the 10 single family homes will boast square footage ranging from 1,800 to 3,000. These homes, located along the ridge line, will have front load garages and high-end finishes similar to the homes located in the Magnolia Glen subdivision.

While the commercial designs are still in the works, developers hope to fill the designated space with locally-owned small businesses that could bring more restaurants, retail, and office space to town.

Construction on Charleston Commons is estimated to continue through the rest of the year and into 2023.

The final phase of the Pleasant View Village is expected to break ground in 2023 and add approximately 50 additional single-family lots.
