The Sycamore High School Habitat for Humanity Chapter came out to the Cheatham Habitat build site on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
Schools in Cheatham County have made a goal to get involved within their communities by supporting local nonprofits and Sycamore High School chose Habitat for Humanity as their nonprofit.
Sycamore’s Habitat chapter started in the fall of 2022. Since then, students have been learning about affordable housing in their community and how they can be advocates. The chapter is student led with goals being to learn leadership skills and how to fundraise. Since they wanted to also build, they chose to help sponsor their build day and have been hosting several fundraiser opportunities in their school to meet their goal and have a Givelively page where community members can help support here: https://secure.givelively.org/donate/habitat-for-humanity-of-greater-nashville/sycamore-high-school-cheatham-habitat-chapter-2023.
