On January 24, 2023, the Sycamore Lady Knights faced Westmoreland Middle School in the AA Area Tournament championship game.
The post-season game, held at Harpeth Middle School, went into overtime but resulted in a tough 24-22 Lady Knights' loss.
Seventh-graders Sophie Head and Sophie Stuart each scored six for the Knights; seventh-grader Campbell Gill came in close behind with five.
The evening before, on January 23, in the semi-finals round of the tournament, the Lady Knights faced Portland West. The Lady Knights pulled out a 33-27 win.
Eighth-grader Lacey Kimbrough led the team in scoring with 12; Gill contributed nine.
The ladies from Pleasant View will advance to the first round of the sectionals on Saturday, January 28. The game will be held at Sycamore Middle School and begin at 4PM. The opposing team has not yet been announced.
