On Tuesday, November 21, 2022, all three county middle school wrestling programs were hosted by Cheatham Middle School for their first "Battle of County."
In the first matchup, Cheatham lost to Harpeth by a score of 18 - 40. Cheatham Middle Coaches stated, "We came out flat and just did not wrestle to our ability. We will discuss things with the wrestlers and prepare to take on Sycamore."
In the second matchup, Sycamore beat Harpeth by a score of 42-39.
In the third match up, Sycamore beat Cheatham by a score of 48-36. Cheatham Middle Coaches said, "We are proud of the fight the Cheatham wrestlers took to Sycamore. We had a couple tough Sycamore wrestlers on their backs, but just could not finish for the pinfall. Sycamore is a tough team this year."
