Pleasant Nails is stepping into a new chapter. After months of renovations, upgraded equipment, and careful planning, the beloved local salon has officially rebranded as Pleasant Nails & Head Spa. The transformation includes a newly opened head spa, offering deep relaxation and advanced scalp care.

The expansion follows a fire incident earlier this year that prompted a complete evaluation of the salon’s equipment. In May, an LED light strip inside one of the salon’s pedicure chairs caught fire in the middle of the night. While the chair appeared to be the cause, the salon waited months for a full insurance investigation, which concluded only recently and confirmed that the equipment was at fault.

With the furniture being only about a year old at the time, ownership said the situation was “completely unacceptable.”

“The safety of our customers and staff has always been our top priority,” Pleasant Nails shared. “Once we understood what happened, we returned all of the equipment to the manufacturer and invested in top-of-the-line replacements from the industry’s most trusted supplier...out of our own pocket.”

While the decision required a significant investment, it was made with customer trust and comfort in mind. The new equipment not only improves safety but elevates the overall guest experience in perfect time for the holiday season.

During the renovations, the salon also added two additional manicure tables to accommodate its growing customer base, which includes many loyal regulars who continued supporting the business throughout the repair process.

“Everything we’ve done has been focused on our customers. They supported us through this whole journey, and we wanted to give them an experience that feels even better, safer, and more enjoyable,” the salon noted.

The biggest addition, however, is the brand-new head spa, which officially opened early this week. Designed to provide deep relaxation and rejuvenation, the head spa features scalp treatments, soothing massage, and a calming atmosphere that gives customers a full-body wellness experience without leaving Pleasant View.

The new additions and the name change reflect both its expanded services and its elevated standards of care.

“We’re so excited to welcome everyone back into a space that’s safer, more comfortable, and now offers even more ways to relax. The support from our community means everything to us.”

Pleasant Nails & Head Spa is located in The Village at 144 Centre Street.
