On January 12, 2022, the Cheatham County School District announced that Wendy Cox has been named Supervisor of the Year, and that Jason Pierschbacher has been named Principal of the Year for 2021-2022.
According to their announcement, Cox has been with the district for 25 years, teaching at Pleasant View Elementary School and Kingston Springs Elementary School. She’s also served as an assistant principal at Harpeth Middle School and principal at East Cheatham Elementary School.
She has also served as the Human Resources Supervisor since 2019 and is also currently serving as the interim principal at Pegram Elementary Fine Arts Magnet School.
In 2019, Pierschbacher took over as principal of Pleasant View Elementary School.
Before coming to PVES, he served in various positions for 11 years with the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System, including assistant principal at Rossview Middle School and assistant principal at Kenwood High School, the district says.
Both Cox and Pierschbacher will now advance to the state-level competition in their respective category.
