State Representative Mary Littleton has been appointed to three committees in the Tennessee House of Representatives.
Littleton was appointed to the Government Operations Committee, the State Government Committee, and the Civil Justice Committee. She will also continue in her role as Chairman of the Children and Family Affairs Subcommittee for the next two years.
“I’m excited about my committee assignments and very appreciative that Speaker Sexton reappointed me to serve as Chairman of the Children and Family Affairs Subcommittee,” Littleton said. “I look forward to continuing efforts to protect vulnerable Tennesseans, recover from COVID, and rebuild our economy,” remarked Littleton.
Littleton is a recognized leader in efforts to protect our state’s most vulnerable citizens. She was the prime sponsor of a law that increased prison sentences for statutory rape by an authority figure. Littleton voted for greater protections for domestic violence victims and supported tough laws to combat human trafficking.
