Pleasant View Christian School celebrated a historic milestone with the opening of a new building for the
Early Learning Academy (ELA), celebrating the first new construction project on campus since 1984. The
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony brought together school leadership, staff, community members, and the PVCS
school community gathering with much anticipation to see the newly completed building.
Head of School Brandon Roysden welcomed attendees and reflected on the school’s rich history,
expressing gratitude for the leadership that has guided PVCS since its founding in 1978. He also
acknowledged the dedication of current staff, community leaders, and PVCS families whose continued
support helped transform a long-held dream into a reality.
“This project represents years of prayer, planning, and faithful stewardship,” Roysden said. “The opening
of the Early Learning Academy is a testament to God’s provision and the commitment of our community
to invest in the next generation.”
ELA Director Mrs. Diane Lytle shared the heart behind the academy and its mission to provide a strong
foundation for young learners. “We are excited about the countless children and families who will walk
through these walls and learn the truth—truth that not only sets them free, but equips them for success in
life,” Lytle said.
The Early Learning Academy currently serves children ages two through four and offers age-appropriate
academics in math, language arts, science, and Bible studies. Designed to foster academic growth while
nurturing spiritual and social development, the ELA reflects PVCS’s commitment to Christ-centered
education from the earliest years. The new building will not only provide age-appropriate spaces for the
youngest learners but will also provide additional space and growth opportunities for the school’s K-12
programs in the current building on campus.
The opening of the Early Learning Academy marks a new chapter for Pleasant View Christian School as
it continues to grow and serve families in Pleasant View, Cheatham County, and beyond.
