PVCS Celebrates Early Learning Academy Groundbreaking

Pleasant View Christian School, established in 1978, held a groundbreaking ceremony for a stand-alone Early Learning Academy. The building is an important part of the master plan for the future of PVCS. The new preschool building will not only provide age-appropriate spaces for the youngest learners but will also provide additional space and growth opportunities for our K-12 programs in the current building.

The additional 8,683-square-foot building will accommodate over 100 students, an indoor activity space, and a dedicated resource room. The new building will be located on the north side of the current eleven-acre campus with an anticipated opening date of January 2026.

Diane Lytle, the Early Learning Academy Director, noted, “I am overjoyed with the opportunity this building will provide for our students and their families. The need has been great for quite some time with the extensive waiting lists and demand on the rise. It is my hope and prayer that this building will be used in so many ways that bring honor and glory to the one true God and will be a beacon of light in our community.”

The new building on campus will provide much-needed additional space in the school’s current building as K-12 classes are expected to overflow into areas currently used by the Early Learning Academy. This expansion comes at a time when PVCS is experiencing near record enrollment since the school's founding in 1978. The extra classrooms and shared spaces will help accommodate the growing student body, as many of K-12 classes are already at or near capacity. The expansion will ensure that PVCS can continue to serve more students effectively and maintain its educational standards.

“We believe in our vision to launch the next generation of leaders with purpose and a biblical perspective. We believe in our mission to be excellent in education through service and relationships,” Head of School, Brandon Roysden explained. “We believe in supporting our students and their families, and we believe this is just the next step of many to provide the needed resources for the future of PVCS.”
