Pleasant View Company Hosts Drive for Deployed Soldiers

In March of 2021, the 1-181st FAR of the Tennessee Army National Guard, deployed to the Middle East in support of operations in the region. This deployment, dubbed “Task Force Iron Valor,” will see troops spend approximately the next 9 months away from their families, friends, communities, and employers while they execute the mission with which they have been tasked.

A.N. Webber stands with the troops and appreciates the sacrifices made to ensure freedom at home and abroad. There are over 350 troops deployed with the 1-181st FAR and they could use the support of all of us back home as they face the challenges and danger that a Middle East deployment brings.

In this spirit, they are hosting a drive to collect items needed to send these soldiers care packages.

Their goal, they say, is to be able to send enough care packages to these soldiers to give them each a much-needed boost.

Ideas on items to be collected: energy bars, peanut butter, hard candy, dried fruit, beef jerky, hot sauce, shampoo, razors, toothpaste, sunscreen, books, magazines, playing cards, headphones, DVD's, batteries, Advil or Tylenol, bandaids, drink mixes, air fresheners. and t-shirts.

Many of the listed items are fairly inexpensive, but their value to a deployed service- member is immeasurable.

Items can be dropped off at any A.N. Webber Terminal. The Pleasant View terminal is located at 6351 Hwy 41A.

If you would like to make a cash donation to go toward purchasing these items, please contact Alex Batey at the Pleasant View Terminal at 615-746-6868.

Items will be collected until June 11, 2021, and shipped immediately thereafter.
