Pleasant View Christian School is excited to announce the hiring of Hunter Newman as its next Athletic Director.
Newman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management from Trevecca Nazarene University and brings with him a strong foundation in athletics, organization, and community relationships. A Cheatham County native, Newman established himself as a team captain for the Trevecca Nazarene University baseball team before being drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals organization. His experience at both the collegiate and professional level make him uniquely suited to lead PVCS athletics into a new era of growth and development.
As Newman reflected on this opportunity, he said, “It felt like a ‘homecoming’ to get back to where it all started. One of my passions is athletics, but being able to lead an athletic program with a Christ-centered culture is extremely important to me.”
“We are so excited to welcome someone with Hunter’s background and passion to lead our athletic program. I can’t wait for him to get on campus and get to know our student athletes and to begin to put his fingerprints on what we do from an athletics perspective,” said Head of School Brandon Roysden.
Newman will begin his duties June 2 as preparation for fall sports are already underway.
