William “Bill” Harding Davis, age 74, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away at the Veterans Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.
He was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 12, 1948, to the late Mahlon Davis and Ellen (Bechenbar) Davis. William was a member of Gateway Church in Ashland City, Tennessee. He served in the United States Coast Guard. He worked at Kroger for 43 years and Home Depot for 12 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents Mahlon and Ellen Davis; first wife, Theresa (Fulton) Davis; brother, Ricky Chesser Davis; and sister, Mary Ophelia Davis-Deloach. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Laura L. (Hampton) Davis; son, Joseph “Joe” Davis; daughter, Amy Lynn Davis; and brother, Terry Fussell Davis.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at 6pm at Gateway Church, 1642 Highway 12 South, Ashland City, Tennessee 37015.
Visitation will be before the service at the church from 4pm until the service hour of 6pm. Burial will be Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 11am at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee.
