Obituary: Ruby Nicholson Shearon, 79


Ruby Nicholson Shearon, age 79 of Clarksville, Tennessee died Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.


A private family graveside service will be conducted.


Out of respect, and due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the family has chosen to have a public memorial service at a later date.

Mrs. Shearon was born on December 8, 1941, in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Roy Milton and Annie Mae Hyde Nicholson. She loved to travel and was proud to have visited 47 states and several different countries. She was retired from BellSouth Telephone Company and was a member of the Brewer’s Chapel United Methodist Church where she played the piano for 65 years.


In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Shearon; and grandson, Gregory Milton Shearon.

She is survived by her sons, John “Wayne” (Denise) Shearon, “Kevin” Dale (Lorrie) Shearon, and Robert “Gaines” (Michelle) Shearon; brother, Bobby (Charlotte) Nicholson; sister, Nelda Jennette; and grandchildren, Lucas, Emily, Jennifer, Tyler, & Paige Shearon, and Megan (Tony) Smith; and several nieces & nephews.


The family wishes to say a special “thank you’ to Mrs. Ruby’s caregiver, Diane Drye.
