Mildred S. Evans of Nashville, TN, passed March 24, 2021 from long years ill with diabetes. Mildred was born January 26, 1931 in Hickman County, TN.
She is preceded in death by husband, Russell Marcell Evans and parents, Clive and Amy Shepard. She is survived by son, Russell “Rusty” Marcell Evans Jr. (Sue); daughters, Meliss Sherrill (Buddy), Lynn Farnsworth (Bob); 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; and sister, Joy Blair (Jerry). Mildred cared for husband, Marcell, through his long illness.
She was a St. Thomas retiree, starting in the mailroom and advancing to Manager of Seton Lodge. Mildred was a long-time member of Joelton Church of Christ and she loved playing bingo at the residences where she lived.
There will be a private graveside service at Bethlehem Cemetery, Ashland City, TN presided by son, Rusty Evans. Serving as pallbearers are sons-in-laws: Buddy Sherrill and Bob Farnsworth; brother-in-law, Jerry Blair and grandsons: Bennett Evans, Brandon Sherrill, and Chris Culwell.
