Obituary: Michael Darron Caldwell, 49



Michael Darron Caldwell, age 49 of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021 at his home.


Michael was born on December 29, 1971 in Mobile, Alabama to Richard & Frankie Gandy Caldwell. He taught high school mathematics for over 20 years at Sycamore High in Pleasant View and Hume Fogg Academic School in Nashville. In addition to his teaching career, he started the softball program at Sycamore High School and continued coaching throughout the entirety of this teaching. His faith was in Christ, His redeemer and his hope was in the promise of Heaven. He faithfully served as an elder and Sunday School teacher where he was a member at Calvary Bible Church. His first love was his relationship with Christ and his joys were found in his wife and daughters. Woodworking, enjoying God’s creation through backpacking and hiking, studying scripture and coaching softball whether for high school or his daughter’s rec teams. Michael leaves behind a legacy of faith.


He is preceded in death by two daughters, Allison & Emily Caldwell.


In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Sarah Caldwell; daughters, Anna Claire & Molly Caldwell; sister, Amy (Brian) Woody; father and mother-in-law, Chris & Rebecca Krebs; brother and sister-in-law, Steve (Christy) Pelt; nephews, Sam & Ben Pelt; niece, Jessica Pelt Lindsay; and cousins Casey Caldwell, Chris Caldwell, and Cathy Sanders.
