Obituary: Maudy Ethelene Hunter, 88Maudy Ethelene Hunter, age 88, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at Hillcrest HealthCare Center on Saturday, January 30, 2021. Ethelene was born in Cheatham County, Tennessee, on June 14, 1932, to the late John and Mattie (Shivers) Teasley. She was the loving wife of her late husband, Larry Dean Hunter, and worked as a cook and custodian at Sycamore and Cheatham County High School. Her family and friends will remember her for precious smile and her never letting you leave her house hungry. Ethelene is preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her two sons, Johnny (Debbie) Hunter and Dean “Moochie” (Cindy) Hunter; grandchildren, Amanda Hunter, Brandy (Brandon) McCarver, and Jeffrey (Kayla) Hunter; and great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Kensley, Caleb, Kelton, and Reece. Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Reverend Penny Stratton officiating. Burial will follow in Felts Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Monday, February 1, 2021, from 4pm to 6pm and on Tuesday, February 2nd from 11am until service hour of 1pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Glendon Hunter, Harvey Hunter, Brandon McCarver, Jeffrey Hunter, and Brandon Whitworth.
