Marion Franklin Balthrop “Frank,” age 90 of Chapmansboro, Tennessee, died Saturday, January 29, 2022 at his home.
Mr. Balthrop was born on July 9, 1931 in Chapmansboro, Tennessee to the late Elbert & Martha Morris Balthrop. He worked for Eli Whitt Cigar Company as a receiving clerk and then later farmed. He loved his family, friends, grandkids, and most especially he loved his precious wife. Mr. Balthrop was a member of Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Burton, R.W., Dorris, J.B., Ray, Howard, and Clyde Balthrop; and sisters, Dorothy Hudgens and Frances Head.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Nellie Jo Balthrop; sons, Ricky (Helen) Balthrop and Randy (Lori) Balthrop; daughters, Tammy (Chuck) Farmer and Linda Kay (Taylor) Clark; sisters, Dimple Gupton, Bonnie Moore, and Faye Murphy; grandchildren, Bradley & Tom Balthrop Lee, Tyler & Erika Balthrop, Houston & Tasha Newman, Hayley & Dustin Frazier, Austin & Emily Clark, Trent & Lauren Balthrop, and Lucas Clark; and 10 great-grandchildren.
