John Lawrence Burke, age 57, of Pleasant View, Tennessee, died Monday, January 3, 2022 at TriStar Ashland City.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o’clock am, Monday, January 10th, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Pastor Chris Royalty officiating.
Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham with William Burke, Lou Louzensky, Dale Vegter, David Boudreau, Ken Moore, and Jesse Jimenez serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00PM on Sunday, January 9th, and again on Monday beginning at 10:00AM until the hour of service at 11:00AM.
John was born on May 11, 1964 in Portland, Maine to the late Lawrence & Patricia Glenn Burke. He was a huge fan of the Nashville Predators NHL hockey team, and the New York Giants NFL football team, and was affectionately known to be a practical jokester. He volunteered as an organ donor and was a member of 24 Church in Pleasant View.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Kelly Neill and Shawn Neill.
Survivors include his loving wife, Tammy Burke; brothers, Tim Neill and William Burke (fiance, Kira Waterhouse); nieces, Morgan, Amanda, Lauren, & Mia; mother-in-law, Lynne Edwards; and his beloved fur-babies, Levi, Schatzi, CharLee, & Sebastian.
