Goldie Louise Toler, age 83, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee.
Goldie was born in Centerville, Tennessee, on April 28, 1937, to the late Graden Louallen and Allie Christine Mitchell Louallen Edgin.
She was of Church of Christ faith and worked for Acme Boot, Ford Glass, for a short time as a hair stylist and retired from Springs Bath Fashion.
Goldie loved her flowers and her pets, her dog, Coda and her cat, Pumpkin, and her six chickens. She was preceded in death by her parents and half-brother, Jimmy Edgin.
She is survived by her children: Grady (Tracey) Toler, Machelle (Jeff) Newman, Cindy Toler Caperton; grandchildren, Chris Toler, Jason (Melanie) Toler, Shawna Newman, Trent Newman, and Chase Newman; great-grandchildren, Cody Toler, Miranda (Andrew) Alcorn, Braydon Toler, McKenzie Toler, Shaila Newman, and Dronah Newman; and great-great-grandchild, Oliver Alcorn.
Funeral service will be Sunday, November 8, 2020, at 2pm in the chapel with Derek Batts officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Liberty Cemetery in Charlotte, Tennessee. Serving as pallbearers are Chris Toler, Jason Toler, Cody Toler, Braydon Toler, Chuck Edgin, and Grady Toler.
