George Leonard Rinehart, Jr., “Big George”, age 76 of Pleasant View, Tennessee, died Monday, February 15, 2021 at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Ashland City.
Funeral services will be conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 11:00AM on Monday, February 22nd with Bro. Dwayne James and Bro. Cecil Boswell officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Len Rinehart, Joe Rinehart, Roger Darding, Jeremy Perry, Stephen Reed, Justin Yates, Jeff Yates, Walt Haynes and Troy Simpkins serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Abby Sho, Bobby Lamb, Dale Hall, Tommy Langley, Darold Teague, Randy Stewart and all of his jet ski family and friends nationwide.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00PM until 6:00PM and again on Monday from 9:00AM until the hour of service at 11:00AM.
Mr. Rinehart was born on November 20, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late George Leonard, Sr. and Margaret Campbell Rinehart. He was a retired over the road truck driver with over 4,000,000 safe miles driven, finishing his career at State Industries. He was an avid jet ski enthusiast and his most prized possession was his grandchildren. George was a member of Friendship Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by nieces Brittany & Megan Newman and brothers-in-law, Mitchell & Stevie Newman, and Johnny Whitworth.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Elaine Rinehart; sons, Len (Liesa) Rinehart and Joe Rinehart; sister, Kay Rinehart; grandchildren, Faith, Hope, Knox Rinehart & their mother, Joy Rinehart; many loving nieces & nephews, cousins, extended family, and his nationwide jet ski family.
