Born to the late Thomas R. Hopwood and Mary Tarpy Hopwood in Nashville TN. Also preceded in death by sister, Mary Josephine Hopwood and brother Bernie Hopwood.
Survived by wife of 44 years, Kay Gibson Hopwood; five children: Mary Jo Davenport (Bobby), Corey, Jimmy (Billie Ballard), Tricia Hopwood Ludin (Jeremy Johnson), Regina Hopwood Cardwell (Kevin); 14 Grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters: Jean Hopwood, Judy Johnson, Patsy Slayden, Sherrie (Mark) Campbell; brothers: Tommy Hopwood (Sharon), Johnny Hopwood, Frankie Hopwood (Nancy), Larry Hopwood (Tracey), and Jerry Hopwood
Danny was a Charter Member of Knights of Columbus Council 11742 at St Martha’s Catholic Church in Ashland City, TN. He was a 1968 graduate of Father Ryan High School and a retired Diesel Mechanic for B&M Trucking in Gallatin, TN.
