Obituary: Delma Woodrow Binkley, 92

Delma Woodrow Binkley, age 92, passed away at Skyline Medical Center on April 22, 2022.


Delma was born in Cheatham County, Tennessee, on February 3, 1930, to the late Ruse Woodrow Binkley and Zeda Dee (Simmons) Binkley. Delma was a member of Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ where he was former elder, served his country in the United States Navy and was a retired union iron worker.


He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruse and Zeda Dee Binkley; wife of 67 years, Isabelle Jane Binkley; siblings: infant brother and sisters, Virginia Rose and Eloise Denton. He is survived by three sons: Darrell (Becky) Binkley, John (Pam) Binkley, and Wendell (Kim) Binkley; sister, Gertrude Moore; 7 grandchildren: Jenifer (Patrick) Westfall, Erin (Jimmy) Bowles, Ethan (Cori) Binkley, Ben (Amanda) Binkley, Lori (J.T.) Boyd, Matthew (Kelsey) Binkley and Marcus Binkley; and 11 great-grandchildren.


Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 26th, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Donnie Mitchell officiating.


Burial will follow in Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Monday, April 25th, from 4pm to 8pm and on Tuesday, April 26th, from 10am until service hour of 1pm. Serving as active pallbearers will be Matthew Binkley, Marcus Binkley, Ben Binkley, Ethan Binkley, Tristan Binkley, and Ezra Binkley.
