Barbara Ramsey Rutherford, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, October 25,2022.
She was born in West Helena, Arkansas on December 12, 1933, to the late James Ramsey and Lela (Muse) Ramsey. Barbara worked as a nurse for over 50 years.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, James and Lela (Muse) Ramsey. She is survived by her son, Edwin Rutherford (Amanda); daughters, Ann Reed (Clate) and Jean Lee (Trent); and grandchildren, Sturgis Thompson, Elizabeth Thompson, Triston Lee, Maverick Lee, Montana Lee, Edwin “Ford” Rutherford IV, Finley Elizabeth Rutherford and Fisher James Rutherford.
Funeral service will be Monday, October 31, 2022, at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Derek Wright officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, October 30, 2022, from 12noon to 4pm. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
