Obituary: Argel “Tommy” T. Hale, III



Argel “Tommy” T. Hale, III, passed away on May 2, 2022, at his home in Ashland City, Tennessee, surrounded by his loving family.


Tommy was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on November 26, 1956, to the late Argel T. Hale, Jr., and Mabel (Jarman) Hale. He worked and retired as a welder supervisor for Trinity. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved hunting and fishing.


He is preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, Lois Hale. Tommy is survived by his wife of 46 years, Deborah Hale; children, Jeremy (Amy) Hale, Christy (Steven) Baskin, Stephanie (Bobby) Holmes, Mark (Shannon) French and Jennifer (Ronnie) Mims; siblings, Becky (Billy) Cox, Faye (Royce) Jackson, Sandra (Howard) Sliker, Lunnie (Phil) Groth, Doug “Bubba” (Mary Sue) Wyatt; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.


Funeral service will be Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 4pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Jerry Barlar officiating.


Following the service, Tommy’s wishes were for cremation. Visitation will be Friday, May 6th from 3pm to 7pm and on Saturday from 12noon until service hour of 4pm. Pallbearers are Steve Dempsey, Chuck Stretch, Anthony Rigby, Tucker Adcock, Jim Flowers, and Scotty Gillentine.
