
Tashia Marrena Biggs, age 30, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on January 29, 1993, to Roy Biggs and the late Gene Beth (Hodson) Biggs.
Tashia graduated from Cheatham County Central High School in 2011 and from the police academy in 2017. She joined the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office as a deputy and most recently worked as a School Resource Officer at Pleasant View Elementary School.
She was known for her big heart, never depriving anyone of the ability to live a happy life, proud of her work, and was passionate about volunteering with Camp Hope every year. She was loved by everyone that knew her and will be especially missed by her kids at Pleasant View Elementary School, including her Pleasant View Panther teams that she coached.
Tashia is preceded in death by her mother, Gena Biggs; and grandparents, Gene and Melvina C. “Big Mama” Hodson, and John and Venice Biggs. She is survived by her father, Roy Biggs; brother, Tarron Biggs (Jessi); and niece, Ella Biggs.
Funeral service will be Friday, August 4, 2023, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Lee McCollum officiating. Burial will follow in Newland Family Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 12noon to 8pm and Friday, August 4, 2023, from 10am until the hour of service at 1pm.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Lee McCollum, Michael Mealer, Josh Marriott, Paul Ivey, Jacob Kent, and Don Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Department.
