JOSEPH CARL ALLEN, age 82, passed away on January 1, 2022, at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee.
Carl was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on August 16, 1939, to the late Clarence P. and Louise (Peach) Allen.
He was a United States Army Veteran and a retired MTA bus driver.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 54 years, Audrey Sinclair Rose Allen; daughter, Tammy Allen Daggs; sisters, Nora Nall and Gerri Gourley.
He is survived by sons, Jackie (Norman Hoover) Allen and Thomas (Connie) Wilkerson; daughters, Leanda (Randy) Cross and Sherry (Steve) Van Amburg; grandchildren, Misty Kittelson, Heath Cross, Theresa Griffey, Jim Jackson, Ashley Wilkerson, Nicholas Wilkerson, and Steven (Amanda) Daggs; numerous great-grandchildren, especially Waylon Daggs and Noah Ralph and many many great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service for Carl will be Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville, Tennessee. Visitation for Carl will be Monday, January 3, 2022, from 3pm to 7pm and on Tuesday, January 4th, from 11am until service hour of 1pm. Serving as pallbearers are Jackie Allen, Steven Daggs, Larry Tanksley, Chad Griffey, Jimmy Jackson, and Brian Pardue.
