New Look, Name for Popular Ashland City Gift Shop

Earlier this week, Kayce Singleton, owner of (formerly) Boxaloon, announced the rebranding and name change for the popular Ashland City gift shop.

Now Ashland City Mercantile, the popular shop located at 606 N. Main Street will switch gears and begin filling their shelves with locally sourced and small business owned products.

"I love this little town so much, that I have decided to rebrand and add its name to our fresh new look," Singleton says. "You can find comfort in knowing that the majority of your purchases at Ashland City Mercantile are supporting and growing not only your local community, but other small businesses, just like mine, all across the U.S.."

"When the pandemic hit, I understood more than ever just how important it was to support each other and shop small," adds Singleton. "When you shop small, you are directly helping your community grow and thrive-- and that is exactly what I want for this community and small business owners everywhere."

Some of the items shoppers can find at the "new" shop will include: decor, jewelry, candles, stationary, beauty products, plants, snacks, clothing, and more.

To kick of the holiday season, the community is invited to attend the shop's Holiday Launch event on Friday, November 6 from 11AM-5PM, and Saturday, November 7, from 11AM to 4PM. While supplies last, shoppers will receive a free gift.

Ashland City Mercantile is "COVID compliant," and will encourage the use of face masks and social distancing. For extra precaution, six shoppers will be allowed in at a time.

The new website is shopacmercantile.com, their phone number is (615) 246-1661, and they can be found instagram as @acmercantileTN.
