A local pharmacist known for going out of his way to help others, has taken his giving spirit to a new level, and has opened a new full-service pharmacy business of his own. Dr. Jeremy Muzzall opened the doors of Hometown Pharmacy of Pleasant View at 6509 Highway 41A on October 11. Muzzall said he hopes to hold a grand opening in a few weeks. He said the mission of the business is to give hometown service and care to each and every customer.

Hometown Pharmacy of Pleasant View grew out of Muzzall’s sense of community. He said he enjoys taking care of folks in the neighborhood, and that the new business has been welcomed with open arms. Muzzall would know a thing or two about the pharmacy business, as he has served as a pharmacist at drug stores in Middle Tennessee since his graduation from pharmacy school in 2005.

The new pharmacy has services to help make it easier for Cheatham Countians to stay healthy, including a drive-up window, a full line of prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, vaccines (including flu shots), and a small gift section, he said.

Starting a new business, particularly a locally owned, independent pharmacy, can be challenging, Muzzall explained, but he admitted it’s worth it. He said they have been overwhelmed with the positive comments from the community and the support for this new venture.
