Last Saturday, December 16, 2023, Cheatham County Central High School wrestlers competed in the "Bruise Brothers Brawl" tournament held at Springfield High.
Cheatham finished 8th out 13 teams. Also last weekend, local middle school wrestlers took part in the MidCumberland Area Conference Individual Championship event held on December 17 at Harpeth High School.
Sycamore Middle finished fifth as a team, with Tyler Knight placing in first place at 83 lbs, Jonathon Scott - 4th at 131 lbs, Talon Donald - 3rd at 165 lbs, and Jaydin Nicholson - first at Heavy Weight. Cheatham Middle finished in sixth place as team with Nickels Hargrove placing in first at 165 lbs, Walker Hobbs - 2nd at 141 lbs, Chris Brand - 3rd at 76 lbs, Oakley Davis - 4th at 106 lbs, and Jesse Reeves 4th at 119 lbs.
Tyler Knight also received "Best Wrestler of the Year" for the entire conference.
