Cheatham County Wrestling Club had three wrestlers compete in the TN Ironman Wrestling Tournament on April 22 and 23, 2022.

Sumner Boyd finished second in Folkstyle and third in Freestyle in the 120lb Junior Division. James Vaughn finished fourth in Greco in the 132lb Junior Division. Luke London had to withdraw from competition due to injury.

The following weekend, on April 30, 2022, club member James Vaughn took fourth place in the 132lb Junior Division of the TN State Greco Tournament held at Summit High School. Vaughn says he enjoyed the Greco competition because he "enjoys doing wrestling throws."

Vaughn, a current Sycamore High School junior, is putting in the off-season work with hopes of making it to the TSSAA State Folkstyle tournament next year.

"We are very proud of, and for, James on his work this off-season to include his Greco State achievements," Cheatham County Wrestling Club coaches say.
