Local Senior Citizens Surprised by Civitan Club's Holiday Efforts

Last night, at the Livery Stables in Pleasant View, members of the North Cheatham Civitan Club, with the help of their friends and family, filled Christmas stockings for local senior citizens.

Today, December 16, Kelly Ellis, Civitan member and owner of The Livery Stables, started delivering holiday cheer around Pleasant View with her team.

An outpour of donated of items like Bibles, snacks, playing cards, sanitizer, coupons, pill sorters, lotion, candy, and cups, allowed for a total of 161 stockings to be filled.

“We hope that these stockings bring a little brightness and a lot of cheer to our local men and women,” said Heather Curtis, North Cheatham Civitan President-elect and Secretary.

Major donors to the project include: Aimee Shell and Lending Hand Mortgage, Danny Demonbreum, Whitt’s BBQ of Pleasant View, Kate and Drew Joiner, The Livery Stables, Stephanie Upton, Steve and Lisa Richardson, Linda Brinkley, the Loomers, The Hampton Inn, Legends Bank, Lana Joiner, Alisha Duncan, Heather and Ronnie Curtis, Laura and Dominic Martin, Brenda and Marie Morrow, Tabbi and Charlie Tomeo, Kerri Putman, Marie Hill and Family, Shirley Lamb, Jennifer Mayo, Heather Ridley, Jessica and Ray Crouch, Mark Boyette and family, and several anonymous donors.

“We are very blessed by amazing community members and a big-hearted club,” added Curtis.

“From our club to your home, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New year!”
