On January 14, 2023, Sycamore High School hosted the 2nd Annual Ariel Rojas-Avila Memorial Wrestling Tournament in honor of the former Sycamore wrester. There were 21 boys' teams and 12 girls' teams that competed on the day to include both the Sycamore and Cheatham County Central teams.
As a team, Sycamore finished 2nd in the boys' division, and 7th in the girls' division. Sycamore individual placers were Trey Moreland 1st at 126 pounds; Dylan Davenport 1st at 138 pounds; Luke London 1st at 145 pounds; Logan Heckert 1st at 182 pounds; Jordan Sober 4th at 220 pounds; Evan Dixson 1st at 285 pounds; Haydee Rojas-Avila 5th at 120 pounds; and Gracie Bystrom 2nd at 165 pounds.
As a team, Cheatham County Central High finished 7th in the boys' division, and 5th in the girls' division. Cheatham County Central Individual placers were Sumner Boyd 3rd at 120 pounds; Owen Carney 4th at 126 pounds; Danniel White 2nd at 170 pounds; Emma Reeves 7th at 114 pounds, Amanda Thomason 1st at 114 pounds; and Keynia Williams 2nd at 185 pounds.
The Outstanding Wrestler Award and the Best Match of the Tournament Award went to Sycamore High Senior Luke London.
On January 10, 2023, Sycamore High School hosted the annual Battle of the County Wrestling competition between all three Cheatham County high school teams; Sycamore High, Cheatham County Central High, and Harpeth High.
The first match of the evening was between Harpeth and Cheatham County Central High with Cheatham County Central defeating Harpeth, 33-24. The next match was between Sycamore and Harpeth with Sycamore defeating Harpeth, 42-19. The deciding match of the evening was between Cheatham County Central High and Sycamore with Sycamore winning the Battle of the County with a score of 41-27 to remain the Battle of the County Champions for the last three consecutive seasons.

In addition to the Annual Battle of the County, Sycamore took this opportunity to recognize their Seniors on the team. The Seniors are James Vaughn, Jordan Sober, Seth Johnson, Luke London, Logan Heckert, and Evan Dixson.
