Sycamore High School has selected Camryn Larsen as the new head coach for the Lady War Eagles basketball program.
Larsen, who currently teaches health to students in grades fifth-eighth at Sycamore Middle School, is a 2018 graduate of Sycamore High.
During her high school years, she was a key player on the girls basketball team, earning All-District honors three times and All-Region recognition once. She also reached the milestone of scoring over 1,000 points in her high school career.
Following graduation, Larsen pursued a degree in K–12 Physical Education and Health at Austin Peay State University.
Her coaching experience includes serving as an assistant coach for the SHS girls basketball team under Cody King from 2021 to 2023, and most recently, assisting Connie Weeks at Sycamore Middle School over the past two seasons.
“I’m honored to accept the position of head coach for the girls basketball team at my alma mater. It’s a privilege to return to the place that helped shape my journey, and I look forward to guiding and mentoring the next generation of student-athletes. I am grateful for the opportunity and ready for the season ahead,” she said.
