On Tuesday, August 16, the Sycamore Lady War Eagles opened up volleyball season in a home match against Stewart County. Both varsity and junior varsity swept their matches, winning 2-0 and 3-0 respectively.

Riding the high of their wins against the Rebels, the ladies from Pleasant View traveled to West Creek the next day, and their on-court efforts yielded the same results against the Coyotes. Sycamore's freshman team also made their debut, securing a 2-0 win over West Creek.

The War Eagle winning streak came to an end on Wednesday, August 18, when they took on a talented Creek Wood team. The Red Hawks sent both varsity and junior varsity back to Pleasant View without winning a single set.

Heading into their second week of play with a record of 2-1, the Lady War Eagles will face Harpeth, Cheatham, and Fairview.
