PLEASANT VIEW, TN - Pleasant View residents attempting to schedule Kroger grocery delivery are currently being met with messages indicating that no delivery times are available for their location, prompting questions about whether service will return.

Customers report seeing a notice stating that no delivery times are available within the next seven days when entering Pleasant View addresses through Kroger’s website and app.

The delivery disruption follows a broader company announcement made by Kroger in late 2025 confirming it would be closing several automated fulfillment facilities that offered Kroger Blue Truck Delivery, including its Nashville, Tennessee location, beginning in January.

While Kroger has not issued a location-specific statement regarding Pleasant View, the closure of the Nashville automated fulfillment center may explain why delivery service is currently unavailable in the area.

Kroger said the closures are part of a nationwide effort to optimize its eCommerce fulfillment network after automated facilities did not meet financial expectations. These changes are expected to improve operating margins while allowing reinvestment into lower prices and improved in-store conditions, with a neutral impact on identical sales.

Despite the closures, Kroger emphasized that eCommerce remains a core part of its business. The company is shifting toward a hybrid fulfillment model that relies more heavily on in-store fulfillment and expanded partnerships with third-party delivery providers such as Instacart, DoorDash, and Uber Eats.

“We are taking decisive action to make shopping easier, offer faster delivery times, and provide more options to our customers,” Kroger Chairman and CEO Ron Sargent said in the announcement.

As part of this strategy, Kroger expanded its relationship with Instacart as its primary delivery partner and announced plans to broaden grocery access through DoorDash and Uber Eats, including a new customer experience on Uber Eats Marketplace expected to launch in early 2026.

Kroger customers are encouraged to explore third-party delivery options or use in-store pickup where available.
