July 29: Low-Cost Spay and Neuter Day for Cheatham Residents


Cheatham County residents are eligible for the discunted spay and neuter rate


Cheatham County Animal Control, alongside CSA Clinic and Cheatham PAWS, is presenting the community with an opportunity to spay and neuter their dogs at a discounted rate. On July 29, 2024, Cheatham residents can pay just $40 for the procedure.

Owners must provide transportation to and from Cheatham County Animal Control on the procedure date; drop off is at 6:10AM, and pickup will be sometime later that same afternoon. Cheatham County Animal Control is located at 2797 Sams Creek Road in Pegram.


Here are the details:


-Online registration opens up on July 15, 2024, and will fill up quickly. The link will be posted on Cheatham County Animal Control's Facebook page on Monday, July 15.


-There is an additional $10 fee for a rabies vaccine unless current rabies tag is provided.


-There is a two-dog-per-household rule.


-Fee must be paid in advance.


-Dogs must be older than three months to have the procedure done.


-People with questions are encouraged to text (321) 480-6716 as opposed to calling the shelter.
