Increase of 33 Active COVID Cases Reported Over Past Week in Cheatham County

The State Health department reported yesterday, August 13, 2021, that Cheatham County had a total of 157 active COVID-19 cases- an increase of 33 active cases since last week at this time. This brings the county's total number of confirmed positive cases to 4,958 since the beginning of the 2020 outbreak.


There are currently 95 hospitalized Cheatham County residents battling the virus, according to state data. Countywide, there have been 56 total deaths since the pandemic began.


Over the last seven days, their data also shows that Cheatham County has averaged 53 (an increase of one since last week's reported data) COVID-19 tests per day, with the average number of positives being 20.8 %, up from last week's 15.1%.

Free COVID -19 vaccinations are available via drive thru at the back side of the Cheatham County Health Department in Ashland City.


The health department offers the Moderna vaccine on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and offers the Pfizer vaccine on both Tuesdays and Wednesdays for patients 12 years and older.


Free testing is available weekdays from 8:30AM- 10:30AM. Regular tests are available Tuesdays and Thursdays. Self-collection kits are available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.


Appointments are not necessary for the test or the vaccine.
