Hess Accepts Role Within Cheatham Chamber

Last month, the Cheatham County Chamber of Commerce welcomed Tonya Hess as the organization’s new engagement coordinator.

Selected by Chamber Director Misty Keenan for her knowledge and experience, Hess believes the job is a "great fit."

"As a former small business owner myself, I understand the pressures and the passions they feel," said Hess who stepped into her new role on January 25, 2021.

In her new role, Hess plans to use her creativity to promote and educate local businesses on all the Cheatham Chamber has to offer. She will be responsible for membership growth, program development, overseeing the Cheatham Merchant Group, and developing strategic marketing plans for social media.

Her journey of running an online bow shop and Pleasant View's Alinora Boutique taught Hess about hard work, marketing, networking, overcoming obstacles, and celebrating accomplishments of all sizes.

Hess studied fashion design and merchandising at both O’More College of Design and MTSU, and celebrated a successful career in the field prior to starting her own small businesses in Cheatham County. "Tonya has a true passion to help others like herself," Keenan said. She currently resides in Ashland City with her husband, Rick, and their two daughters.
