On Friday, September 17, it was business as usual on the gridirons.
The Cheatham County Cubs remained at home welcoming the Yellow Jackets from Fairview. The home team tried their best-having some long runs and completed passes- but they were no match for the swift and powerful visitors. When the final buzzer sounded, the Yellowjackets left the field a with a 41-6 victory over the Cubs.
Cheatham Senior, Brayden Homme, scored the Cubs' only touchdown.
The same night, the Sycamore War Eagles, plagued with injuries and turnovers, were on the road playing White House Heritage They were defeated, 42-16.
Jarrett Spurlock (junior) and Rayvon Green (junior) scored for the War Eagles.
Sycamore (0-5) will host White House (3-2) on September 24- looking for their first win of the season, and the Cubs (1-4) will greet Whites Creek (2-3).
