The Cheatham County School District's School Nutrition Department will provide free summer meals to all children under the age of 18 throughout June and July.
Meal pickups will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the following dates: June 4, June 11, June 18, June 25, July 9, July 16, and July 23. Distribution will be held at Ashland City Elementary STEM Academy, located at 108 Elizabeth Street, behind the school near the ballfields.
Children do not need to be present to receive meals. Each pickup will include enough food to provide seven breakfasts and seven lunches.
In addition, during the month of June, Gateway Church in Ashland City will distribute 125 food boxes each week to families who attend the meal distribution at Ashland City Elementary STEM Academy.
The program aims to support local families and ensure children have access to nutritious meals during the summer months.
