A familiar face from a Pleasant View favorite is bringing great tastes and sounds to a local hardware store.
Lee Miller, who was a fixture at the PV Village Diner location in The Village, has set up a new venture inside the Joelton Hardware, Feed & Farmacy on Clarksville Pike, dishing up great food favorites and local music. On Saturday, May 1, Miller will be serving New Orleans style crawfish boil, barbecue sandwiches, chocolate salted mousse, banana pudding, live music, and cold beer.
“We’re farm to table when we’re able,” he said. “We’ll have more from local farmers as the growing season heats up,” and he added that he looks forward to working with many of the growers he met when working with the diner.
Miller said after he left the PV Village Diner, he participated in the development of a handful of other restaurants before COVID-19 hit, and then “food service in Nashville got hammered.” He became a mobile handyman and had taken up a job to do some plumbing work. Miller stopped by Joelton Hardware, Feed & Farmacy and struck up a conversation with the owner, Kris Houser, and then the idea to transition the store’s sandwich shop into a fancier dining option was born.
“Right now, we have dishes like our authentic French onion soup, barbecue sandwiches, and the burger that I became known for. We also have a great selection of locally brewed craft beers, with more than half of our beer menu from the Middle Tennessee area, including brands like Little Harpeth,” he said.
Live music adds more spice, with bands hitting the stage on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
You can just show up and check out the selection of local hardware and gardening supplies, then enjoy lunch or dinner. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and dinner is from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
A grand opening celebration will be announced at a later date.
